In addition to bicycling related news, the Long Beach Cyclists aim to make this website an important resource for cyclists. One of the features we want to include is recommend and annotated routes for cyclists. Is there somewhere you want to get in Long Beach, but don't know how? Send us an email and we'll post some recommended routes.

Our first CommuteRoute takes you from Downtown LB to Downtown Seal Beach. This route takes it to the streets. The route is mellow and low traffic but very utilitarian, granting you access to shopping in Downtown LB, 2nd Street, Wild Oats, the Farmer's Market at the Marina and Downtown Seal Beach. How is that for utilitarian!
Distance: 7.4 miles
Skill Level: Easy/Intermediate
Things Along the Way: Downtown shopping, easy access to Retro Row, Broadway Design Corridor, 2nd Street, Farmer's Market, Wild Oats, Seal Beach
Misc: Avoids PCH by going on Marina Drive for a mellower ride.
